RIS file format

The RIS (Reference Manager Export) format is a text file 'formatted' so that the data can be directly imported into bibliographic programs such as Reference Manager, ProCite and Endnote.

You can either save the file to your local system or open it directly from the web. In the latter case your bibliographic program should automatically start and ask for a reference library to save the reference in. If this does not work I suggest saving the file to your local system (hard drive or network) and then either double clicking on the file, which should start your bibliographic program as described above, or if that does not work start your bibliographic program and use the import option (you may have to specify the import file type) to import the reference from the file.

Failing the above you can simply open the file in a text editor and copy and paste the reference information from the file.
